At Hub+Weber we embrace sustainability as a solution, not a problem, and believe that it should be a goal for any project, regardless of its size, use or budget. Through thoughtful design it is our goal to provide these services for all of our projects.

Additionally, we can provide a more thorough review of individual projects that wish to integrate sustainable and green features throughout the entire building and site. This process begins with you and other stakeholders, identifying the sustainability goals of the project. It is within these outlined goals that we will work with our consultants to provide a unique and informed solution to your specific project.

The scope of these goals can vary greatly, from specifying ‘green’ and high recycled-content materials, to passive shading and lighting techniques, to green roofs and solar panels. Further, we are happy to lead the process towards achieving certification through any number of rating systems, including: LEED, Green Globes, Energy Star or KY Greenbuild.

  • Architecture is a problem solving endeavor.  This theme is consistent across client types, project types, and project delivery methods.  The ability to listen and understand prior to arriving at a solution is of utmost importance.

Hub+Weber provides a wide range of architectural services, encompassing every step of the creative process.  The initial steps are to assist clients in defining their needs and goals and situating their project within that context.  Issues such as budget and schedule are identified at the very beginning of the process.  The subsequent design, its development, documentation, and even the administration of its construction arise out of these initial project definitions.

Our experience is diverse in both building types and project scope.  We draw upon the diversity of this experience for every project we undertake.  We are not limited by focusing on a building type specialty or solutions that are typical for a particular program.  We do not preconceive the solution.  We listen to the problem and challenge the assumptions in arriving at a solution with our client.  The thought process is not limited by what is typical, but rather custom crafted; a solution that uniquely solves our client’s problem.
